Dave Soldier - The Most Unwanted Music

The Dave Soldier Orchestra, conducted by Gene Pritsker, performing at the 15th anniversary concert for Le Poisson Rouge in New York City, June 18, 2023. This is the first live performance of The Most Unwanted Music in twenty-five years. The Most Unwanted Music and its the companion piece, The Most Wanted Music, were written according to poll results of the American public written by Dave Soldier and then composed by him with the lyricist Nina Mankin in collaboration with painters Alex Melamid and Vitaly Komar. Featuring Adriana Valdes, soprano, with Vitaly Komar on bass drum, David Watson bagpipe, Yuri Lemeshev accordion, Dave Soldier banjo, Jai Jeffryes Casiotone and synthesizer, Tiffany Wu harp, Boaz Kim harmonica, Tessa Brinckman flute and piccolo, Jay Rozen, tuba, Winsome Brown ranter, and the Most Unwanted Children’s Choir featuring Tessa Floch, Ari Farah and Anna Kolodzei (who also rants!).
