EU has told Serbia that maintaining its close ties with Russia will harm its chances of joining the bloc. EU foreign policy commissioner, Josep Borrell, said this on Monday in Brussels. He said he has urged Belgrade to “align“ with the sanctions against Russia and that its accension to the bloc also depends on normalising ties with its breakaway region - Kosovo.
