Hyper III Drop Test From SH-3 Helicopter

This 53-second video from December 12, 1969 shows a Hyper III drop test from an SH-3 helicopter. The Hyper III was a full-scale lifting body remotely piloted vehicle (RPRV) designed by engineer Dale Reed and built at what was then the NASA Flight Research Center (now Armstrong) located at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California.
