Greensleeves - JenliSisters au Château de Rixensart

Greensleeves is a traditional English song written in honor of a “lady with green sleeves“. According to popular legend, it was composed by King Henry VIII (1491-1547) in honor of Anne Boleyn (1501 or 1507-1536). Originally a folk love song, Greensleeves became associated with Christmas through its adaptation into the carol “What Child Is This?“ which pairs its timeless melody with holiday-themed lyrics.
