RICHARD SALA: Farewell to a Favourite

A video I’ve wanted to make for years, now a eulogy. Richard Sala died some weeks ago and the world is far poorer. In this video I briefly try to capture why he was one of my all time favourite writer-artists. Books very quickly featured include Delphine, The Chuckling Whatsit, Mad Night, Dracula (with Steve Niles), Art Spigelman and Francoise Mouly’s anthology for children It Was a Dark and Silly Night, featuring Sala’s collaboration with Lemony Snicket, and many more.
