Innere Front (UK) - The Slow Release (Album 2023)

Absolutely brilliant new album from this highly prolific project. One of Innere Front’s most old school releases I think, although still very experimental and unique nature, “The Slow Release“ mixes beautifully elements of Nefolk, Industrial and ritualistic Martial Ambient into this enormous record, sometimes with a more shoegazing or psychedelic atmosphere that resembles with Hexafoil, creating a devotional atmosphere brimming with nostalgia, melancholy and mysticism, heightening the times of old, the magic of blood and soil, and standing against the stale apathy of modernity. With ifluences such as Coil, Di6 or Current 93, this surely stands alongside the new Yellow Eyes EP as some of the best Neofolk and Industrial records I’ve heard as of late.
