Vasily Petrenko Launches His Academy For Young Conductors in Armenia

The 1st Academy for Young Conductors by Vasily Petrenko, one of the world’s leading conductors, will take place on July 2-6, 2024, at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan. The Academy invites young conductors from all over the world to participate in a series of rehearsals with the symphony orchestra, as well as take part in the closing gala concert and present the pieces they worked on the previous days, bringing together the Academy’s active participants and Vasily Petrenko on Armenia’s main stage. All active participants will receive individual feedback from maestro Petrenko and participate in his The Secrets of a Conductor’s Job Beyond Music Stage workshop. “The Academy is an opportunity for young conductors to have a workshop with someone more experienced, with a bigger career, and with a real orchestra. For me, the Academy is about supporting the growth, nurturing the talents of the next generation of conductors, and giving them chances.“ – maestro Vasily Petrenko.
