Live: President Joe Biden & Russia’s Putin meeting at Geneva summit

US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin hold a meeting at Parc ’La Grange’ villa in Geneva on Wednesday. The two leaders are set to meet for crunch talks for the first time since Biden was sworn in as president in January. The pair are expected to talk about US concerns on Russian sabre-rattling on the Ukrainian border, the imprisonment of Kremlin opponent Alexei Navalny, and Putin’s support for Belarusian strongman Alexander Lukashenko. Washington has repeatedly accused Russia of interfering in the 2016 and 2020 US elections. Earlier this year, Biden blacklisted six Russian technology companies for “carrying out Russian government-directed attempts to influence the 2020 US presidential election, and other acts of disinformation and interference.“ However, Putin called for the US and Russia to work together to fight cyberattacks, saying: “It is our great hope that we will be able to set up this process with our US partners.“ SCHEDULE: 0827GMT - View of the Parc ’La Grange’ villa in
