Another “Street Scene“ - But Not Acted! (1932)

Full title reads: “America. Another ’Street Scene’ - but not acted! Our cameraman secures dramatic pictures - unequalled on any stage - as ’Rent Strikers’ fight police during evictions in New York’s ’Red’ Quarter.“ United States of America. Crowds of people standing outside building. Some of them are holding banners. Low angle shot of women leaning out of windows of building. They are shouting and shaking their fists. Pile of furniture on the pavement. An African-American is carrying a piece of furniture and talking to a white man dressed in bowler hat, long coat and two tone shoes. Women shouting and crying from windows above. Mounted police are now at the edges of the crowd on the streets. They are moving in on their horses. A policeman pulls away a person he has arrested to a police van. Newsreel cameramen can be seen in the foreground. Shot of the front of the building in which the evictions are taking place. The furniture is piled up outside. Cameramen take pictures as pol
