Something I would hope does not happen again, but hey, this is what life is and you gotta be in it to win it, so to speak. The lyrics were written in 2019 in Melbourne in the hours after having spent my last day out alone with this particular woman. I knew it was the last time going into it, and when I said farewell I knew that I would never again get the chance to ever just simply be out in the world with her, let alone be romantic or anything of that nature.
