Thanks Michael from US for the narration! In today’s Gospel, we hear about how Our Lord healed the demon-possessed young man, who had a mute spirit (Mk. 9:17). There was a moment there when the father of the young man asked, “Lord, please, heal him. He has been suffering from it since his childhood, and we are all tired from his illness. I am asking you as his father, please, help.” To which Our Lord answered, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mk. 9:23). The father said, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mk. 9:24) This phrase explains exactly what Faith is. It is about the essence of the Mystery of Faith. We are all faithful people and we have been going to church for years, we execute its rules, but what will we answer if someone asks us, “Can you heal someone, or can you walk on the water, or can you work a miracle?” Thus, the notion of Faith becomes relative.
