Palestinian girl who survived prior Israeli strike killed in Israeli shelling of Nasser Hospital

“I will not give up on my dreams. I hope to be a doctor to help people.” Donia Abu Muhsen, a Palestinian girl who had previously been injured in an Israeli attack on her home, was killed on Sunday when Israeli forces shelled the maternity ward of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, where she was undergoing treatment. After surviving the first attack, Donia had her leg amputated. Her mother, father, and two brothers were killed in the first attack on her home. In an interview with Al Jazeera after she survived the earlier attack, Donia said that she wouldn’t “give up on her dreams” and that she wanted to become a doctor.
