1984 / 1996 - Two superb Disco tracks from Shirley Bassey, each recorded twelve years apart. Shirley’s contributions to the Disco era are classy songs delivered with the Bassey formidable vocal style. In my opinion they are high above much of the electrified techno stuff which took a front seat while the singers took the secondary back ground role to much of what was released during the Disco period! It’s unfortunate that these songs from Shirley Bassey were not released world wide, but thanks to Youtube people from around the world now have a chance to listen, and enjoy! ABOUT If You Don’t Understand: Released 1984 on a single AND on the album I Am What I Am. Though the rest of the album had been recorded together with the London Symphony Orchestra and the CD inlay does not state anything different for this song, I suppose that this song is not from the same recording session.
