Piston making for a modeldiesel engine at home (MK-16 rebuild) Part 1

Hello again for a very interesting this clip I show you,how I make my pistons self. Its a part of the rebuild of my MK-16, . I use always old carengine that material( high grade castiron) I got good expirience in the past. I done a lot pistons so far, but in the begining,I lost a lot work, because the expirience was diesels got moore closer tolerances than a glow engines, because of the high compression. The old MK-16 was in very bad shape, impossibel ,to be a rear disc was worn out,the 2 bearings, very bad, even one prop collector was not from this engine (and broken also) and the most important thing,no compression at al. I buy a lot special tools, what makes it possibel,to do this its stil a kind “on the edge“ job. Its not easy to do it with this hobby equipment. In 2 evenings with each moore then 2,5 houers,It was finally done. ...But I make a mistake( also a lot in the text,ha,) ...I shoud first make the final size with the grinding as first after that, drill the wrist pin hole. .Because the holes have a influence on the grinding pattern, its moore accurate to grind a closed surface. Because of that mistake,I got extra work,to get the piston lapped wel and sealing now oke,but next time I must not forget much time, and fare better result! I l also dont make the rings on the outer piston. The wal thicknes is less like the orginal piston.I wil risk a crack forming or even a broken I deside not to take the run fine anyway without it. The MK-17 also dont have it I see this strange aplication also on my Russian K-16 engine from 1950 !..same factory I asume. ) I hope you like the visit in my smal part 2!
