The Apollo Xi Blast Off (1969)

Cape Kennedy, United States of America Var. MS & CU of the three Apollo XI astronauts in their final fitting and dressing room prior to their flight. We see them being fitted with their gloves and space helmets before they make their way down the corridor to the transfer van carrying their oxygen kits. Slow GV Pan over part of Cape Kennedy firing area dissolve into aerial shot over the many campers and sightseers in the area to watch the blast off. Var. shots of the campers, sightseers and press starting to take their places in the special stands, etc., as blast off time nears. MS Pan with the three astronauts as they leave the block house and enter the transfer van. MS Lyndon Johnson in his seat to watch blast off. LS Pan up in MS as the Apollo XI blasts off. We hold pan with cutaways to watchers looking up.
