Hometown - Reg Dixon (1950-1959)

Nottingham, West Midlands. The interviewer asks a policeman directions. Night streets Nottingham, a double decker bus passes to reveal a theatre with a bill board for “Reg Dixon“ in Jack and the Beanstalk. Interviewer enters and shakes hands with the manager. Show girls run down a circular stair case, as they are about to go on stage Reg Dixon comes off into the wings and is greeted by the interviewer Dave. Reg says his catch phrase “I’m poorly, I’m proper poorly“. Dave tells him he is on ABC television “Hometown“ and goes on to ask about his life in Coventry and how he became a comedian, and into Broadcasting. He talks about his hit song “Confidentially“ and his new song “Send me to Coventry“ which he then sings. As he ends, the show girls come off stage, and Reg exits the wings and goes back on stage.
