The song “Helpless“ was originally released by Diamond Head in 1980 on the “Lightning To The Nations“ album. Diamond Head, the song writer of “Helpless“ were the major musical influence for Lars. The original version of “Helpless“ don’t have a solo included. Metallica originally released it in August 1987 on “The $ E.P. - Garage Days Re-Revisited“ EP.
