Eve In Belgium - At The Races (1924)

Filmed near Ostend, Belgium. Women in the stands at a horse racing track. Horses with jockeys astride are led past the camera. Women in their finery pose for the camera with a smartly dressed man. Two glamorous women walk towards the camera to display their dresses, hats and parasols. A woman walks along the edge of a stand almost as if on a catwalk displaying her outfit. Women watch the racing. C/U of feet in fancy shoes and a parasol in the form of a sunflower. The woman holding the parasol doesn’t seem to happy about being filmed. The horse race is shown eventually! Note: nice fashions - women posing in their finery. Skirt lengths are quite long and most of the women hold parasols so probably early 1920s?
