Blood Sweat & Tears Spinning Wheel

Spinning Wheel (Remaster) is performed by Blood, Sweat & Tears on May 31, 1969. Written by lead vocalist David Clayton-Thomas, the single peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and topped the Billboard Easy Listening chart in July 1969. Spinning Wheel was nominated for three Grammy Awards at the 1970 ceremony, winning in the category Best Instrumental Arrangement. The arranger for the song was the band’s saxophonist, Fred Lipsius. Spinning Wheel was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Their self-titled Blood, Sweat & Tears won the Grammy for Album of the Year. The second album was the most popular in 1969 with 48 weeks spent on the album chart and life-time certified U.S. sales of 4 million copies. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus lockdown on live music, Blood Sweat & Tears canceled all 2020 events. The next BS&T concert is scheduled at Twin River Event Center, Lincoln, RI, on April 3, 2021.
