Damn, that’s interesting!

#Jewelweed, also known as Touch-Me-Not, is native to eastern North America. It attracts pollinators like bees, #butterflies, and #hummingbirds. The ripe seed pods explode when they’re touched, sending seeds flying. This video has several slow-motion shots of the seed pods exploding, plus close up shots and details about the plant. This was recorded in the Old Forest in Overton Park in Memphis, Tennessee. #plants #flowers #gardening #forest #seeds #seedpods Most of the slow motion shots of seed pods exploding were recorded on an iPhone 8 using the FiLMiC Pro app, recording at 240 frames per second. The other shots were recorded on a Canon EOS 6D Mark II with the Canon EF 100mm f/ IS USM Macro Lens. Music: “Wide Boys“ by Underbelly & Ty Mayer, from YouTube’s audio library.
