In Defense of Extreme Subjectivism - Brecht Arnaert @ Universidad Rey Juan Carlos
On Thursday the 7th of November 2019 I gave a talk about my paper “In Defense of Extreme Subjectivism.“ before the audience of the 3rd Annual Conference on Austrian Economics, held at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid.
In this talk I explore the differences between subjective, entrepreneurial knowledge and the purportedly objective knowledge of science, which to my mind are not different in principle, but only in degree.
I start out by identifying five archetypes along the continuum from our subjective, personal experience and purportedly objective scientific theory, and go on to ask the question where it is, exactly, that one kind of knowledge turns into the other.
