Recorded in Audacity on my AT2020 mic, filmed on my Canon Vixia camera and synched up in Adobe Premiere. No tuning, or video cuts. I literally first heard this song about a day before I recorded it.. I’ll probably hate this cover in a few weeks, once I learn the song better. That usually happens once I really memorize the song and start to notice the more subtle nuances in the voices and instrumentation. I can already hear one thing I wish I did differently... I’m singing “about - you“ and Shawn sings it more like “aboud-a-you“ assigning an extra note to the “a“ that I omit when I sing with a space in between the “about“ and the “you“. Oh well, I’ll do it better at Karaoke next time. :-P So Nate and I were gonna try to do Genre Switching Challenge 5 this weekend, but we had to push it back for a few reasons, the coolest of which is that my friend Claire Corlett is here from LA! I Don’t get to see her very often but we’re pretty close so it’s cool when I get too. :-) She’s here for a little over a week to record an EP she’s writing, and also to explore the desert. Gonna take her shooting tomorrow if it doesn’t rain (don’t worry, I’m not gonna kill Sweetie Belle). Ok, now for an easter egg... OK, how about this, here’s a video of Claire and I playing Ping Pong.
