Good will come to those who are generous2 Deuteronomy 15:10 Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. As we examine God’s instructions to his people in the old Covenant it is important for us today as modern Christians to understand that there are certain Concepts certain things that God has always wanted men and women to do old Covenant or new. From the beginning God has wanted us as human beings to love him with all of our heart soul strength and mind and to love our neighbors even today that we are under grace. God is still calling for you calling for me to love him with every ounce of our being, and love our neighbors as ourselves. generosity to the poor is another such concept Old Testament or new God Wants You and I generous to those who have less than we do and the God still promises blessings to us when we are obedient to that.
