10 Minute At-Home Dribbling Workout (Follow Along)

Follow Along with Dylan Novak of HoopsIQ who will walk you through a 10 minute dribbling workout that you can do at home, or at any basketball court. In fact, you don’t even need a court, you can do this workout in your driveway or in the street anywhere in the world. So, just grab your basketball and follow along with this easy dribbling workout. In this 10 minute dribbling workout, we start off with around the world which is wrapping the ball around your back to the right. The reason why this so important is it requires hand eye coordination, a natural feel for the ball, hand and arm quickness and overall strength in the areas most needed for your handles. We’ll then reverse it to the opposite side. Next, we move on to Right hand and left hand pounds. It’s important bend your knees and sit down while doing this exercise to take the pressure off your back. Make sure you’re pounding the basketball straight down and not picking up or carrying the basketball each time. Pound straight down and control the ball on the way to about knee height. Then, we’re going into low pound dribbles. Use more of your fingertips to dribble the ball in this drill so that you can gain more control and strength into your hands. Build up all of those muscles that will make you a great ball handler. Crossover dribbles are a great exercise to gain arm strength and coordination. Push yourself to go harder and faster each time you do this workout.
