Severe weather continues to affect the Middle East. On Thursday, July 28, a severe storm with rain and hail hit the city of Arak in Iran. Gusts of wind reached speeds of 75 km/h. Local residents who fled their homes were forced to take refuge in nearby places. Due to the wind, part of the roof of the Amirkabir Mall shopping center collapsed. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties. Several roads on the outskirts of the city were also flooded. Arak is the administrative center of the Central Province, located 240 km from Tehran. The population is about 440,000 people.
