Ancient festival to mark the end of winter, the Tyrol, Austria Full titles read: “EXIT WINTER !“ C/U’s of two people wearing special masks. One has a large moustache and a fantastic head-dress he is called a ’Ringer’. C/U of the ’Ringer’ carrying very large cow bells around his waist. Various shots the festival in progress. Numerous women dressed as witches dance in a circle with large brooms to “drive winter away.“ High angle shot of the festival and of crowds watching from either side of the street.
