The efforts to increase the number of black solicitors in Britain run into serious difficulties

The professional body which regulates solicitors in this country is perplexed that so few black people are able to pass their examinations. They commissioned Exeter University to find out the reason for this, but had they simply asked me, I could have saved them the trouble.
