Eric Clapton - Let It Rain - drum cover- dedicated to Jim Gordon

One day sittting listening to music it dawned on me what an impact Jim Gordon had on music and drumming and how many drummers he influenced. He was a protege’ of Hal Blain and became one of the most sought after session drummers in the biz starting when he was 17. The list of songs he is on is staggering. He had a unique style, sort of a trained and controlled Moon, from Zappa to Steely Dan to Clapton, Little Richard, Nillson, Lennon, the list is unbelievable, look him up on wiki and read it. Jim is also co writer of Layla, he was practicing a piano part for his own album while recording Derek & the Dominos, Clapton heard it and asked if he could stick it on the end of Layla and it became the 2nd half. Unfortunately Jim became schizophrenic and began to hear voices and subsequently killed his mother, he is still in a psych prison in California but his contribution to music still stands.
