She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain -Ken Carson and the Choraliers

November 14, 2013 would have been Ken Carson’s 99th birthday! This song is from Ken Carson’s five hundred thousand-selling 1962 record album “Treasury of the Golden West“. Ken “Shorty“ Carson was born Hubert Paul Flatt on November 14, 1914 in Centrahoma, Coal County, Oklahoma. His career started with playing harmonica accompanied by a fellow by the name of Red Barton on KGFJ radio. He went on to perform with all sorts of notables such as Stuart Hamblen, the Beverly Hill Billies (not to be confused with the later TV show of the same name), the Ranch Boys, and the Sons of the Pioneers. He appeared in 22 of Roy Rogers’ movies as a member of the latter group. Ken was a regular on the Garry Moore Show from 1951 to 1958 and was also a successful solo artist. He died on April 7, 1994, of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. To read more about Ken Carson, visit: This video, like all the music slideshows on the Ken Carson Tribute c
