WW1 German soldiers identification dog tags restoration. I found WW1 German soldier ID badges at the site of a German military camp. These dog tags are early type 1878. The dog tags belonged to the soldiers of the Landwehr infantry regiment. I decided to restore and preserve dog tags. They were made of zinc. I removed the dirt and coated the dog tags with beeswax.
