And I was quite close to Princess Diana, she was quite a big fan and she went to one of my concerts in London. On stage, I was suddenly thinking about her and I just dedicated one song she loved that I’ve done, Souvenir de Chine, to her. And you know, in Moscow, on Saturday night, lots of vodka is going on, so there was chaos all over the city. And suddenly, I said I would like to dedicate this next song to my friend, Princess Diana, then suddenly, the whole city stopped… not one noise, nothing. And they just used their lighters to make lights. It was so moving. First of all, in those days, Moscow was quite remote from London and England, so the power of this young woman was extraordinary. Actually I couldn’t even play after that, it was a very emotional moment. But was I mean by this is that suddenly, these 3 million people was like family, like an audience in a little theatre. It was fantastic, the community spirit was very-very strong.”.
