EGAN BERNAL IN THE FIELD OF HAPPINESS Colombian wins spectacular stage at Campo Felice (’Field of Happiness’) and takes the Maglia Rosa Egan Bernal caught breakaway riders Geoffrey Bouchard and Koen Bouwmans in the last few meters of today’s gravel road finish to claim his first Grand Tour stage win and take the Maglia Rosa from Attila Valter, with Remco Evenepoel still second at 15’’. Giulio Ciccone and Aleksandr Vlasov finished today in second and third after 7“, Remco Evenepoel and Daniel Martin at 10“. Damiano Caruso, Romain Bardet, Marc Soler, Davide Formolo, Simon Yates, Emanuel Buchmann and Hugh Carthy crossed the line at 12“ while the former Maglia Rosa Attila Valter finished 49“ down.
