One Ocean Series How To Deter A Large Shark Part 1

Disclaimer, this information is in an effort to help people to respond to an approach, it may not be effective if you are not highly maneuverable and sure of your movements in water. It may also not be effective depending on the shark, number of sharks, visibility, current, and human impact/situation and other species in the area. there are many variables in a dynamic marine environment and while sharks are still far more predictable than humans (who are highly emotional animals that are generally not very good about making calculated decisions on the side of caution) sharks are still wild apex predators and should be respected for their important role as predators. It is not my wish or intent with this information that anyone purposefully get in the water to attempt to replicate this, please only think of this information if you are in a necessity situation where a large shark is swimming up to you. Please learn more by reading my book “What you should know about sharks“ and watch my online course available from Inspire Courses (link on my website: Stay safe and thank you so much for supporting shark and marine conservation.
