5 Steps AKA Five Steps - Roll 1 (1960-1969)

Great film about the training of officer cadets in the Royal Navy. Title reads: “5 Steps - Towards a Commission in The Royal Navy“. Number 1 - Officer candidates wearing civvies arrive on submarine in dock. They are shown around the sub by an officer and ask questions about how things operate. The different candidates show different characteristics. VS of their Officer testing - first in the gym where they take part in a team building exercise against the clock. Second they face an interview with Admiralty Officials. The questions appear quite tough. (Nice sequence as one candidate runs onto station and misses his train home). The interviewing panel discuss the candidates. The candidate who fears his is unlikely to do well is the one they like best. Number 2 - VS at Dartmouth Naval College.
