Many people consider drawing gem stones as a difficult task. but actually its not. We dont need to be an expert in color blending here. Just following the reference photograph will do the job. This drawing was a small one completed under 1.5 hours. To make it more realistic you can always try drawing it larger and drawing it on a grey paper helps to accentuate the highlights.
