Use mirrors to add depth to scratch builds - Victorian Hotel Build Part 11

I am scratch building a low relief Victorian hotel for my N Scale model railway layout, Chandwell. I have used mirrors to give the impression that the building is a lot deeper than it really is. Using mirrors in scratch built buildings is a really effective way to fool the eyes into thinking that the building is twice as deep. In this video I show how I used a mirror at the end of a narrow alleyway to make it look like the alley goes all the way through the building. And I used another mirror on the inside of the hotel’s grand ballroom to make it look like the ballroom goes all the way through the building and out the other side. Using mirrors like this is a stunning way to simply add that extra wow factor to your scratch built model railway buildings, whether you model in N Scale, or O scale, 00 scale, HO scale, or anything else. I also show in this video how I use the Sticky Label technique for making the large ballroom windows.
