GRAPHIC CONTENT | Circleville Police Department K-9 Attacks Suspect during Traffic Stop

According to an NBC News report, bodycam video has been released showing a Circleville police releasing a K-9 at a semi-truck driver during a traffic stop after another trooper could be heard telling the officer not to release the dog. The incident originally happened on Tuesday, July 4 on U.S. Route 23 after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers engaged in a “lengthy“ pursuit of 23-year-old semi-truck driver Jadarrius Rose. Officers attempted to initiate the traffic stop after his vehicle was observed to be missing a left rear mud flap. After failing to yield initial attempts to stop his vehicle, stop sticks were used twice before the vehicle stopped. According to NBC News’ report, an incident report from the traffic stop stated, “After several times of being ordered to exit the vehicle, the suspect exited the vehicle from the driver’s side door. The driver was given orders to get down on the ground and the suspect would not comply.“
