Central American Cichlids with fry

First batch of 2018: Vieja melanura ex. synspilum See blog post: Vieja melanura (Quetzal cichlid or Redhead cichlid) is a Central American Cichlid which inhabits the waters of Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. The variety in the video is from the Chiapas region of Mexico. This variety is better known by its former name Vieja synspilum, but nowadays scientists agreed in Vieja synspilum as a junior synonym of Vieja melanura. This species is highly opportunistic with an enormous geographic distribution and it inhabits rivers, lakes, (brackish) cenotes and muddy pools.
