A documentary about Russian-Japanese relations ‘Building Trust: Russians in Japan’ Created with the support of the International Chodiev Foundation, this is the second film in a trilogy dedicated to the history of relations between two countries. The documentary tells a story of people who made their contribution to the strengthening of Russian-Japanese relations. Numerous unique, previously unknown historical facts are showcased for the first time in this film. The Japanese tattoo of Russian Tzar Nicholas II, textile art genius Itchiku Kubota’s imprisonment in Siberia, the popularity of Russian chocolate ‘Morozoff’ in Japan, a Russian, Japan-raised baseball player Victor Starukhin: viewers will have a chance to find out about these and many other fascinating stories in this film.
