During the Second World War there were many women who became concentration camp guards. A number of them were executed following the Second World War for their evil crimes and brutality. But one of the deadliest concentration camps was Majdanek, and this was also an extermination site and within the barbed wire fences there was a huge amount of suffering and torture. But there were around 30 women who were brought to Majdanek to guard the women prisoners. After the war though, very few of these women who worked at Majdanek were brought to trial for their horrific crimes which included execution and torture. Only one woman Elsa Ehrich was executed for her crimes, but a few others were sentenced to time in prison, but most escaped justice.
