Oman Oman is suffering the devastating effects of sudden floods that have swept across the country. A heartbreaking picture emerges, of a nation struggling with loss of life, widespread destruction and the daunting task of rebuilding shattered communities. At least 12 people were killed after their vehicle was swept away in floodwaters in Oman on Sunday. The victims included nine students, two residents and one foreigner according to the National Committee for Emergency Management. Many areas of Oman were flooded after heavy rains swept across the country causing flash floods. Previously, the body of a child was found at Wy albur in almud hiby, according to the Royal Oman Police.
