‘Shackles around her ankles’: Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to prison

CNN Reporter Jean Casarez says Ghislaine Maxwell had “shackles around her ankles” as she was sentenced to 20 years in prison over sex trafficking crimes. “She was in a navy-blue prison jumpsuit, she had shackles around her ankles, US marshals would be by her side if she would walk at all,” Ms Casarez told Sky News Australia. Ms Casarez said there was emotion in the court as Ms Maxwell was sentenced. “The judge also said what was significant to her was there was never really any acceptance of responsibility during the course of the pleadings at all.“
