The Templars of Doom - Templars Rise From the Crypt

Текст с Bandcamp’а: “Instrumental lead off track! Hovels of the Holy, the second album by The Templars of Doom is fiendishly good from the audio tracks to the cover art painting. Five new Celtic Punk originals, H-Block Escape, Black Friday on My Mind, Tattoo Covered Hag, Templars Rise from the Crypt backed with Beggar in the Road, a spooky song about sharing whiskey with Christ to accidentally gain redemption. H-Block Escape tells of 1983 when 38 IRA members escaped en-masse from Maze prison in Northern Ireland under Margaret Thatcher’s nose. Black Friday on My Mind mixes the poverty of the holidays with the good times of the weekend. If you are unlucky enough to meet the Tattoo Covered Hag, you will never return to the land of the living as she will suck your flesh and soul dry and leave a heap of steaming bones in its place. Three traditional Irish rebel songs are essential to the album and the band’s sound. Roddy McCorley, Wrap the Green Flag, and God Save Ireland. God Save is given and acapella treatment while Roddy McCorely builds up to a fever pitch. Wrap the Green Flag is republican anthem start to finish. The cover songs are Slade and The Ramones, Mamma Weer All Crazee Now is an unplugged foot-stomping take on the glam original. And if you never thought you would hear Dee-Dee Ramone’s classic Chinese Rock with bagpipes, now is your chance! Rory Quinn (guitars, bouzouki, vocals), Michael X. Rose (vocals, bass, banjo), Eric Pomarico (drums, vocals), Marty Shane (Mandolin, vocals), and Josie Rose (bagpipes, tin whistles, vocals) hail from Ulster County New York. The band has played gigs all over the Hudson Valley Area. Templars Rise from the Crypt!! from Hovels of the Holy, released January 17, 2019 Templars of Doom“
