Black Hawk Down - Battle of Mogadishu

In the early 1990s, the Somali Civil War tore the country apart and brought starvation to millions of people. Dozens of countries, including the United States, attempted to bring supplies to Somali civilians. But their efforts were halted by local gangs, even as the U.N stepped in with an emergency resolution. After American soldiers arrived at the war-torn country in 1992 as part of a peaceful humanitarian mission to ensure the resources’ safe delivery, they were attacked by warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid and his forces.
