K. Meldre - “Poslanje“ for Pure Data and electronics (2023)

Another experimental piece for electronics, programmed on Pure Data from the scratch. The work is treated together the Synth Machine and the “score“, which explores such music algorithms as Granulation Synthesis, FM-Synthesis, Karplus-Strong, Glisson (inspired by the book ’Microsound’ by Curtis Roads, 2001) and Live Delay. The distinguishing feature of the composition is that it has no classical score; the separated Pd patch becomes the detailed recipe, which sends the messages to each objects of the Synth machine at the particular moment, intended by the author, building the sound idioms and gestures. Another feature of the composition is the goal to study the aspect of pitch existence without following any tonal system of temperament, thus building total “temperament anarchy“, according to author’s personal synesthetic preferences to hear the concrete frequency. The word “poslanje“ in Interslavic means “the message“.
