’Jack Scott With The Chantones Vocal Group’ with “Midgie“, recorded from the original Canadian late era 78 rpm shellac single on Carlton C-514. Released in Canada in May 1959, “Midgie“ was originally released in the US on Carlton with the A-side “The Way I Walk“, peaking at Nr. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Chart. Both sides were recorded in the Summer of 1959 at Universal Sound Studios in Detroit, Michigan with Jack Scott (real name Giovanni Domenico Scafone Jr.) on vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar and Stan Getz & His Tom Cats featuring Dave Rohillier on electric lead guitar, Stan Getz on bass and Dominic Scafone on drums.
