English 🇬🇧 In December 1864, in the heart of Central Asia, the Ikan Battle took place, which became one of the symbols of the Russian Cossacks. A hundred Ural Cossacks of Yesaul Serov repulsed the army of many thousands of the Kokand Khanate. The Cossacks were quickly surrounded, but for more than two days they fought in the snowy steppe. Many Cossacks laid down their heads, but hundreds of enemies were defeated. Русский 🇷🇺 В декабре 1864 года в самом сердце Средней Азии, состоялся Иканский бой, ставший одним из символов российского казачества. Сотня уральских казаков есаула Серова дала отпор многотысячному войску Кокандского ханства. Казаки были быстро окружены, но более двух суток они бились в заснеженной степи. Много казаков сложило свои головы, но и сотни врагов были повержены.
