Italy now! Apocalypse in Milan! This has not happened for 10 years!

The Italian city of Milan woke up Tuesday with water up to its neck. Heavy rains accompanying a severe storm came out of the Seveso River at dawn, causing severe flooding in the north of the city and cars rushed through the streets. No casualties have been reported in the region. Local authorities are working to adapt to the extreme weather, building additional reservoirs to hold some of the volume of water from the spilling rivers. Still, the pools need repairs, Marco Granelli, safety advisor for the municipality of Milan, says: “We haven’t had such major floods since 2014, which means we need to work on the pools, the Milan pool is ready, we are testing the pumps and it will come into operation in November, but the rest of the Lombardy region lacks detention reservoirs.“
