AI ‘Could Transform Life As We Know It’ Says King Charles

AI ‘Could Transform Life As We Know It’ Says King Charles King Charles III has sent a message to tech leaders as they discuss the future benefits and perils of Artificial Intelligence. The monarch made his comments in a pre-recorded video address to the first international AI Safety Summit, held at Bletchley Park, a former codebreaking spy base near London. Charles stressed the importance of the emerging technology, saying “AI holds the potential to completely transform life as we know it to help us better treat, and perhaps even cure, conditions like cancer, heart disease and Alzheimers; to hasten our journey towards net zero and realise a new era of potentially limitless clean, green energy.“ He continued, “It is incumbent on those with responsibility to meet these challenges: to protect people’s privacy and livelihoods, which are essential to both our economic and psychological well-being, to secure our democracies from harm, and to ensure the benefits of new technology are shared by all.“ The AI Safety Summit is a labor of love for British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, a tech-loving former banker who wants the U.K. to be a hub for computing innovation who has framed the summit as the start of a global conversation about the safe development of AI. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is due to attend the summit on Thursday, joining government officials from more than two dozen countries including Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia — and China, invited over the protests of some members of Sunak’s governing Conservative Party. #kingcharles #royals #royalnews Follow us for more royal news, history, and highlights: ♛ Subscribe to our brand new show, exclusive to Snapchat - ♛ Subscribe to our YouTube channel (tap the bell icon and stay up to date with all the latest Royal videos!) - ♛ Find us on TikTok @royalfamilychannel ♛ Follow us on Facebook - ♛ Tweet with us! -
