Four Russian soldiers surrender to Ukraine amid bitter fighting in Avdiivka
Ukraine captured four Russian troops amid bitter fighting in the city of Avdiivka.
The Russians surrendered after a successful Ukrainian counter-attack on the
city outskirts, crawling on their stomachs as they were taken prisoner.
In another piece of footage from the same area, a Ukrainian tank was shown
blasting Russian positions from close range, as Putin’s men refuse to give up
their aim of taking Avdiivka, despite months of heavy losses.
Russia has lost so many vehicles in the assault that troops often move in on
foot, as shown in one piece of footage where they are lucky to survive
a salvo by Ukrainian artillery, as they move through a forest.
But the Russians have been hitting the Ukrainian back, including two troops
who dodged dead by inches when a shell landed next to their car.
Drone footage from the Russian side also showed artillery being used
against Ukrainian positions in a train station and industrial area.
